18.8 MW waste-to-energy power plant. 60Hz. in the US. Wood waste is burned in a
two-unit steam boiler plant. High pressure steam from the boilers is used to
drive the base-loaded steam turbine generators to produce up to 18 megawatts of
renewable energy. The plant is rated to burn 500 Bone Dry Tons of refuse per
day. The facility is comprised of two Zurn water-tube boilers, rated at
95,000-pph each equipped with fixed grates and an ash handling system. The
boilers each feed a common steam header that supplies high pressure steam to two
General Electric 16-stage, tandem compounded, condensing turbines each rated at
9.375 MW. The steam turbines are direct coupled to General Electric (GE)
generators each rated at 9.375 MVA at 0.80 power factor. Each electrical
generator feeds its associated 10 mVA Pennsylvania transformer located in the
switchyard.

is coal-fired comprising a 600 MW GE steam turbine, with steam conditions of
3500 psig, 1050°F/1100°F. The Alstom steam generator is rated 4,650,000 lbs.
per hour capable of burning bituminous coal only or a combination of bituminous
coal and petcoke (up to a 70%/30% blend). The designed heat rate is 8725 BTU/kw-hr.
with a circular mechanical forced draft cooling tower, and electrostatic
precipitator, and a wet limestone flue gas desulphurization system. All design
associated with the equipment listed is complete as are the foundations and
buildings for the boiler, coal silo bay, and turbine building, including all
foundations. The design is fairly standard and completely developed for the
critical piping, which is included in the equipment for sale. Balance-of-plant
equipment and facilities have all been specified and are ready for procurement.
The plant back-end design can be adjusted to match the buyer's air emissions
requirements, and the fully developed site layouts can be adjusted to meet the
buyer's site conditions. All P&IDs are complete as is preliminary piping and
electrical physical design. A comprehensive PrimaVera level 3 schedule of
procurement, engineering, construction, and start-up is developed based upon the
